About Us

Energy City Libya has been granted a renewable 99 years lease of a strategic plot spread over an area of 780 Hectare and located in the coastal region of Mallita along the Mediterranean sea, approximately one hour west of Tripoli. The plot has inherent locational advantages on account of its proximity to Mallita development, it lies adjacent to the proposed touristic development projects along the coast line. The plot is also located in close proximity to other proposed residential and commercial areas at the western and southern sides.

The plot has access to the south coastal main road and railway linkage which lie just parallel to the south side of the zone, while the north coastal road passes through the plot development. The site will be planned as a business class city of mixed use development with a focus on high end office/commercial to serve the needs of the energy business community. Residential uses will also form a key component of site development as support to not only the ECL office development, but also as support to surrounding developments. Residential areas will be provided with the full complement of services (shopping, health care, security) to provide for the day to day needs of residents and guests. The development program will also include commercial hospitality, recreational, entertainment center including marina and park, infrastructure including roads, parking, and landscaping, so that the city is a hub for Africa. Energy City Libya is a US$ 5 Billion project.
